Core Issue

This installation and upgrade procedure applies to Cisco Unity Express (CUE) version 1.1.1 and later.

Resolution

Cisco Unity Express offers local voice mail and Automated Attendant capabilities for IP phone users connected to Cisco CallManager or Cisco CallManager Express in a small- or medium-sized office or branch location. Cisco Unity Express is fully integrated into the branch office router either on a network module or an Advanced Integration Module (AIM).

These routers and platforms support CUE:

  • Cisco multi-service access routers       
  • Cisco 2600XM series multiservice platforms        
  • Cisco 2691 and Cisco 3700 series multiservice access routers       
  • Cisco integrated services routers        
  • Cisco 2800 and Cisco 3800 series integrated services routers
