Core Issue
On a 7961 IP phone that is registered to Cisco CallManager 4.x, when a call is put on hold on the primary line, the on hold softkey state set of buttons appear for the third line as well, even when the third line is not on hold. Because of this, it is not possible to transfer calls.
Resolution
In order to resolve this issue, complete these steps:
- Open the Cisco CallManager Administration Web Page.
- Choose Device > Phone.
- Locate the phone with the issue, and choose the Phone Configuration Page.
- Enable Auto Line Select.
- Update and reset the phone.
