The notification feature can stop on Cisco Unity if Microsoft Exchange is offline for some period. This is because Cisco Unity loses synchronization with Exchange.

Resolution

In order to fix the problem, complete these steps:

1. Open a command prompt.
   
   
2. Type commserver\configurationsetup\setup.exe -sync.
   
   
3. Restart the Avnotifier service.
