We are using MXP Edge95 with and without ClearOne audio mixer for table mics and ceiling speakers.

We use Codian bridges with Auto Attendant, with this we are able to send DTMF tones to be able to access specific meetings and provide pins

We also use sip calls out to our asterisk pbx for access to our Audio Bridge, and the DTMF tones for Meeting and PIN.

The DTMF tones are being transmitted and recognized to the destination, we just dont hear them.

The Tones are heard just fine if we use Audio OUT 1.

Issue that we are having right now is that if we use Audio port 2 out that works better for the ClearOne mixer from the the Edge system, we dont get the DTMF tones out of this port.

We get the pressed dtmf tones out of Audio OUT 1, but not from Audio OUT 2

Is there an easy setting to enable the DTMF tones to also be sent out of Audio OUT 2?

We arent using Audio OUT 1 due to mixing levels with the mics etc...

any help would be great!
thanks
Aaron

The DTMF tones will only be played out on the audio output 1 on the Edge95. The audio out 2 is configured as a VCR output and will not play the DTMF tones.

But I do not understand why you have to use the audio output 2 with the ClearOne. How are you connecting the ClearOne to the Edge95? I'm interested in both the input and outputs connections.

If you are using it the way I think you are, I may have a solution for you :-)

Line level out of Clearone to input 4 on Edge 95.
Output 2 line level to room amplifier and overhead speakers.
The reason we are using output 2 is because the mix-minus capabilities of this channel to remove the mics to the overhead speakers and to prevent feedback loop.

Ok. Then i think I have a better solution for you:

You can reconfigure the audio input 3 to be a microphone input and use this input instead. This is done with this api-command:

xConfiguration Audio Inputs Line 1 Mode: Microphone

You will have to turn off the Echo-canceller in the Edge 95:
xConfiguration Audio EchoControl 2: Off

Then you can connect the Audio out 1 to the input of the ClearOne, aud you will the same mix-minus configuration as you have with your current configuration. In addition you will hear the DTMF tones :-)

Note that the level of the signal on the audio out 1 will be affected by the volume setting. To have the same level setting as you have on audio out 2, you should set the volume to 15:

xConfiguration Audio Volume: 15

So your physical connection between the Edge 95 and the ClearOne should then be:
Line level out of Clearone to input 3 on Edge 95.
Output 1 line level to room amplifier and overhead speakers.

Good luck.

Tried the settings that you recommended and was not able to get Input Line one mode set for Microphone

xConfiguration Audio Inputs Line 1 Mode: Microphone
*err xConfiguration Audio Inputs Line Mode: Illegal value

There are only 2 options for this setting per the endpoint.
xConfiguration Audio Inputs Line 1 Mode ?
*h xConfiguration Audio Inputs Line 1 Mode: <On/Off>

Is this not valid setting for Edge95?
i tried it on FW 8.1 and 8.2

Here are all of the current Audio Settings values also.

Hi Aaron,

Some of the advanced integration features of the TANDBERG Edge is disabled as the TANDBERG Edge is not an integrator product. To get this feature as well as more advanced feedback you will need to use a Codec 3000 MXP.

Best regards
Roger

Hi Aaron,

You can also use a Line to Mic level mixer to connect from ClearOne line out into mic in of Edge 95MXP, although I prefer to use Codec 3000MXP for such integration...

Hi Roger,

As per your reply, beside 3000MXP allow to set the aux input to microphone for integration purposes, what other advanced feedback I can use for codec 3000MXP?

Best regards,

We added this RDL TX-LM2 Line Matching Transformer with the Edge 95 and its working.
Sad that the Edge95 is limited...

Hi Aaron,

If you need to integrate then the Codec 3000MXP is the one that should be used. The Edge doesn't have the 'xFeedback' , which is there for the codec 3000 MXP and codec 6000 MXP.

Best regards
Roger
