According to the release notes for TC3 (reference pg 11 of [url=http://www.tandberg.com/collateral/documentation/Software_Release_Notes/TANDBERG%20TC%20Software%20Release%20Notes%20(TC3).pdf]TC3 Release Notes) "It is now possible to configure which layout family to be used as default in any system state. This will among other things allow having default self view on the second monitor for dual monitor systems."

I have been attempting to define the default states with the command xcommand video layout automode setlayout family with the following code:

xCommand Video Layout AutoMode SetLayoutFamily Monitors: dual Selfview: On Presentation: Off Numberofcalls: 0 Layoutfamily: equal
xCommand Video Layout AutoMode SetLayoutFamily Monitors: dual Selfview: On Presentation: Off Numberofcalls: 1 Layoutfamily: equal
xCommand Video Layout AutoMode SetLayoutFamily Monitors: dual Selfview: On Presentation: Off Numberofcalls: 2 Layoutfamily: equal
xCommand Video Layout AutoMode SetLayoutFamily Monitors: dual Selfview: On Presentation: Off Numberofcalls: 3 Layoutfamily: equal

It is my understanding that this should have set the default layout of a C90 to Self-View on, Dual Display, Equal View on both screens in all possible call states. The C90 replies that these lines of code are correct, but they do not seem to change the layout.

Am I missing something here?

Thank you,

Hey there,

I could be wrong but I think you need to have "SELFVIEW : OFF" .

I ran into the same issue where I couldnt trigger the right layout unless I had selfview off.

I am having a similar issue with the automode commands.  I want to enable any dual screen C-Series to show SelfView on the second monitor full screen when there is no presentation.  The following command works for one call:

xCommand Video Layout AutoMode SetLayoutFamily Monitors: Dual Selfview: On Presentation: Off NumberOfCalls: 1 LayoutFamily: equal

However, if I am hosting a MultiSite, I am not able to get the SelfView on the 2nd screen.  I have tried commands like this:

xCommand Video Layout AutoMode SetLayoutFamily Monitors: Dual Selfview: On Presentation: Off NumberOfCalls: 2 LayoutFamily: equal

...as well as ...LayoutFamily: fullscreen and ...LayoutFamily: auto

Nothing works.  Is there a way to get SelfView full screen on Monitor #2, when hosting a MultiSite, using AutoMode?

Hey guys..
Any new update on this?
Im running into the same problem where I want to display local PC onto the second monitor regarless of codec state.  At this moment, I can only display it when "presentation" button is pressed.

Thx

Hi,
this has all changed now with TC4 and the TC Console (http://developer.tandberg.com/web/guest/tools/integrators/tc-console)
With this tool you can change the auto-behavior of the codec in any scenario and with any layout you may desire.

Cheers,
David
