Core Issue
The Subscriber created, but was not added to distribution list due to error message appears due to an issue within Lotus Domino. IBM has identified that the Members field of the Group document is a Summary Text List. There is a limitation to the size of Summary Text List fields, which currently stands at:
- 32K per field in Lotus Notes Release 6.x
- 15K per field in Lotus Notes Release 3.x, 4.x and 5.x
This issue occurs in Cisco Unity 4.0(1) and later when Unity is connected to Lotus Domino, as documented in Cisco bug ID CSCdz51946.
Note: The Subscriber created, but was not added to distribution list due to error message can also appear when Cisco Unity is used with Microsoft Exchange. Resolution
To resolve this problem, use the System Administration (SA) page or the Lotus Domino administration program to manually add users to the appropriate distribution lists. Alternatively, perform these steps:
- Create a sub-group.
- Add the sub-group to the Member field for the AllSubscribers group from the Lotus Domino administration program.
- When adding users through the SA, add the users to that sub-group.
