Core Issue
The Cisco MeetingPlace reference center is an online training and information web site. Accessible from the Cisco MeetingPlace reference center link on the Cisco MeetingPlace Web Conferencing home page, it appears to the user as a series of main pages and a static bulletin board. End users use the reference center to download Cisco MeetingPlace Outlook as well as to download user guides and other items.
Cisco MeetingPlace users receive the following error when trying to access the reference center: Server Application Unavailable: The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.
This is a permission issue. The ASP.NET account does not have permissions to access the framework files. The aspnet_wp.exe process that allows the ASP.NET framework to work does not start due to the lack of permission.
Resolution
Add the ASP.NET account to these folder locations in your Cisco MeetingPlace web server:
- c:\latitude\mpweb\scripts
- c:\inetpub
- c:\winnt\microsoft.net
Restart the Cisco MeetingPlace web server for the change to take effect.
