Add participants to a conference with use of the Join softkey on an IP Phone using Cisco CallManager 4.0

Resolution

The user can initiate an ad hoc conference by using the Select and Join softkeys.

To choose conference participants during an established call, perform these steps:

1. Press the Select softkey.
2. Press the Join softkey.

This makes it an ad hoc conference. Up to 15 established calls can be added to the ad hoc conference, for a total of 16 participants.

Cisco CallManager treats the ad hoc conference the same way it treats an established conference by using the Conference softkey method.

Note: This feature is only introduced in Cisco CallManager 4.0.
