After changing the DN on the VG 224 MGCP port, all incoming and outgoing calls get a fast busy

Core Issue

Outgoing calls get to the destination, but the called party sees the old caller ID info.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, re-start the Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) process by issuing these commands:

  • no mgcp
       
  • mgcp
       

After making any configuration changes in the MGCP gateway, issuing the commands forces the gateway to download the configuration again.
