Core Issue

This is a symptom of Cisco bug ID CSCdu64581. The IBM 340 series servers do not have anonymous access correctly configured for login.

The problem is caused by something turning off anonymous access to the LoginService website during installation.

For another possible cause of a similar symptom, refer to Troubleshooting Extension Mobility in Cisco CallManager.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform this workaround:

  1. Select Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Internet Services Manager.
  2. Expand the tree on left. Select Machine Name > Default Web Site > LoginService.
  3. Right click LoginService in the left pane and select Properties.
  4. Click the Directory Security tab.
  5. Click the Edit... button under Anonymous Access and Authentication Control.
  6. Make sure Anonymous Access is checked, and click Edit... for account.
  7. The username is not important, but ensure that Allow IIS to control password is checked.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Close Internet Services Manager.
