Cannot run the Cisco Unity failover wizard. The error message "Failed to configure miscellaneous settings. Method CAvRegistry::GetValue(HKLM\software\Active Voice\Commserver setup\1.0\private 'Shortcuts Path' returned [0x0]" is received
In this case, the failover configuration process stops while configuring miscellaneous options. A message appears that indicates the configuration is completed successfully, but then says to fix the problem, press Configure again.
To resolve the issue, perform these steps:
Create two registry keys under HKLM\software\Active Voice\CommServer setup\1.0\private: a. Key "Install Path" Value: c:\Commserver b. Key "Shortcuts Path" Value: C:\Document and Settings\all users\Start Menu\Programs\Unity
Re-run the failover wizard on both Cisco Unity boxes.
Create a subscriber on a primary server to verify that the subscriber has been distributed to the secondary unity.
