Introduction

This document provides the Product & Feature overview of Cisco UC IntegrationTM for Microsoft Lync 8.5. Purpose of this document is to gain knowledge on the product with supported Product Versions, Solution Architecture and Related Documents, inturn helping the users to get introduced to this New Product relased.

CUCI - Lync User interface

 

Cisco UC Integration™ for Microsoft Lync is a desktop integration that provides access to Cisco Unified Communications from Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office Communicator.

 

  • Microsoft Lync shows the Presence status with more detail information about each users contacts and status such as Available, Away, Do not disturb etc.

  • Conversation History with the list of users with duration, date and time

  • Voice Mail History, Visual voice mail is accessible if Unity/Cxn server is configured and Lync client has message playback option.

Installation Process Overview

 

  • Configure your Servers

- You must verify that your Active Directory server and your Microsoft Lync Server or Office Communications Server (OCS) are configured correctly for the deployment of Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Lync.

- You must also configure your Cisco Unified Communications Manager server for Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Lync.

  • Configure your client computers

- You must perform some configuration on the computers of your users, to specify settings for the following:

•Client Services Framework

•Microsoft Lync or Microsoft Office Communicator

•Microsoft Office

•Security and single sign on

- You must then deploy the policy changes to the computers in your Cisco Unified Communications system. To do this, you can use software management system, for example, Active Directory Group Policy.

The links to the documents appear to be broken and searching for the titles does not get any results.

Is Lync Attendant Console supported for Cuci Lync ?

can anyone give me the steps of configuration from Call manager 8.6 ????

Cisco should do a new one for the latest CUCI-Lync and latest Lync 2013

Should also point out what MSFT license required for Lync IM/P only versus the PSTN calling.  That is important to know when customer has or is considering CALs and thinking maybe just using Jabber instead.
