Cisco Webex Teams is a team messaging and meetings service.
It is one of the services offered via Cisco Webex Collab cloud.
(Other services are Webex Meetings, Webex Trainings, Webex Events, Webex Video endpoint SIP registration,etc.)
Webex Teams offers:
a) persistent team messaging via secure virtual spaces (Webex Teams spaces) that enable team and one-to-one interactions.
Users can use Webex Teams softclients (for desktops/smartphones/tablets) to create virtual spaces and invite anyone via email (apart from paid accounts that have some extra features, Webex Teams offer a free client so this allows you to invite anyone without worrying if he/she has a paid client). Inside virtual spaces, users can collaborate, exchange messages and files and take advantage of Webex Teams integration with other business applications (document mgt, sales and finance apps, CRMs, incident mgt, bots, etc.
b) video/audio meetings with advanced features
Inside virtual spaces, users can easily start a video/audio meeting with screen-sharing and interactive whiteboarding capabilities. Users can use their softclients to join the meeting or use a Cisco Video endpoint registered on Webex cloud, if available. So solution can be combined with personal or meeting room Video endpoints.
