EXTENSION MOBILITY CONFIGURATION:

Basic Overview:

It Provides a method to Login on another IP Phone. Once logged in you will have your number, speed dials & all related Info. to your IP Phone.

If you are working in a BPO or Similar Industry like where You don't have your permanent Cabin, or Extension or Deskphone.

then this option is only for you :

That's the SIMPLE configuration:

1. Check OUT that Extension Mobility Service is Running or NOT:

BY DEFAULT STATUS = ON

CM > Cisco Unified CallManager Serviceability > Tools > Control Center – Feature Services

Check-Out Cisco Extension Mobility service shows status Activated and Running.

2. Extension Mobility Service Configuration:

Cisco Unified CallManager Administration > Device > Device Settings > Phone Services > Add New IP Phone Service

- In the Service Name field, type Extension Mobility

- In the Service Description field, type Login and Logout service

- In the Service URL field, Enter the following URL:

http://CUCM-IP-ADDRESS:8080/emapp/EMAppServlet?device=#DEVICENAME#

- Save this service.

3. Create Device User Profile for a User:

Device > Device Settings > Device Profile and click Add New

- From the drop down list, select the phone model to be configured, for example, Cisco 7965

- Enter a Device Profile Name, Phone Button Template field as Standard 7965 SCCP

- Save

- Line [1] – Add a new DN

- Configure DN and other relevant settings and click Save

- From the Related Links: menu, select Subscribe/Unsubscribe Services > In the Select a Service, select Extension Mobility, then click Next > Click Subscribe > Click Save

4. Associate User Device Profile to a User:

- User Management > End User > Find and Select the user from the list that matches the profile that was created

- Under Extension Mobility > Available Profiles, select the profile that was created in the previous exercise and move it to the Controlled Profiles selection

- Under Default Profile, select the profile and click Save

5. Configure and Subscribe Phones to Service and Enable:

- Select Device > Phone

- Find and Select the phone from the list of devices

- In the Related Links: field, select Subscribe/Unsubscribe Services and click Go

- select Extension Mobility > Next > Subscribe > Save

- Under Extension Information , check the Enable Extension Mobility box

- Under the Logout Profile field, select – Use Current Device Settings > Save > Ok > Reset > Reset > Close

that's it, NOW CHECK THE CONFIGURATION::

i think we dont need step 5 as

we had already subscribe service to the device profile,

and that particular profile is been select in particular user
