How can a Unity Connection Administrator view contents of a users Voice mailbox?

Problem Definition

There are scenarios where the System Administrator needs access to the Voice mail users mailbox.

E.g Scenario1 - The user is on extended leave and their mailbox is full and causing issues.

E.g. Scenario 2 - The Admin needs to extract some specific mails from the mailbox for legal reasons.

Solutions

Getting access using the Message Hunter Tool

The Connection Message Hunter tool available here http://www.ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/MessageHunter/MessageHunter.html can do what is desired.

The tool allows the Administrator to query a users mailbox and look at the messages in there. It will also allow you you export the voicemails in an EML format files that allows the administrator to extarct the wave files is required.

Using REST APIs (Or a custom developed tool)

The Unity Connection Messaging Interface API can be used to get details of the users mailboxes. The API documentation is available here - http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unity_Connection_Messaging_Interface_%28CUMI%29_API
