Resolution

Mixed mode is the default operating mode of an Exchange Server 2003.

To determine the current mode of an Exchange 2003 organization, perform these steps:

1. Start Exchange System Manager. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, then click System Manager.
2. Right click on Organization, then click Properties.
3. On the General tab, view the Operation Mode box to verify the current operating mode.
