Currently the direction in upgrade guide just tell you to post the upgrade file to SpeechConnect server
but the directions do not go into how to accomplish this currently. So I am posting these directions
to cover that.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/speech_connect/installation/guide/cuscig020.html#wp1054249
I recommend you can use CoreFtp Server if you do not already have a SFTP Server that you use.
You can follow these directions in previous forum doc to setup the SFTP software:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8142
Note: You can download putty.exe to use for SSH client if you do not already have one.
1. Open SSH session to the speech connect and login with 'scadmin'
2. Once connected change directory to 'tmp' by executing the following: cd /tmp <enter>
3. Now connect to SFTP server by entering the following command: sftp 'username'@'host' <enter> example: sftp scadmin@10.1.1.1
4. Enter password when prompted
5. Make sure SpeechConnect-1.0.3_upgrade.sh is located in SFTP home directory
6. From prompt enter: get SpeechConnect-1.0.3_upgrade.sh <enter>
7. file will be downloaded
8. Type exit to exit sftp connection
9. Now you can continue with the following step in the guide:
"Step 3 Log on to the Speech Connect system as scadmin, and then enter su - to become the root user."
