In Cisco CallManager 5.x, when Attendant Console 5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.0.3 or 5.0.4 is used, the "failed to transfer to voicemail" AC client error appears when the call is transferred to voice mail with the AC GUI

Core Issue

Cannot use the transfer to voicemail feature in attendant console. User gets a popup "unable to transfer to voice mail Attendant Console".

Resolution

This issue is tracked in Cisco bug ID CSCse95176.

Complete these steps for one possible workaround for this issue:

  1. Create a translation pattern which translates into the configured voice mail pilot point.

  2. From AC, do not choose the voice mail option. Instead, choose the call, press transfer, and enter the translation pattern number.

This issue is fixed in these AC versions:

  • 5.0(4.2139.1)

  • 5.1(1.3109.1)

  • 6.0(0.9901.219)

  • 6.0(0.9901.220

Open a case with Cisco Technical Support with the TAC Service Request Tool in order to obtain an appropriate Engineering Special patch.
