Core Issue
If you change the phone password under the default subscriber template in Cisco Unity 4.0(4) and save, the changes do not update and the phone password stays as the original default password.
Resolution
This issue is addressed in Cisco bug ID CSCef07484 - SA: Sub template phone password not saved.
The workaround for this issue is to change the value in the Structured Query Language (SQL) database.
Note: As a precaution, it is always recommended to back up your system before making any manual changes to the SQL database.
Perform this procedure:
- Using SQL Enterprise Manager, under the UnityDB database, go into the SubscriberTemplate table.
- Change the value under the PwDtmf column in the row that corresponds to the subscriber template you want to modify.
