In Cisco Unity 4.0 on Windows Server 2003, the user is unable to browse to the systems integration web page and fails with a "VBScript run-time" error

Core Issue

After installing Cisco Unity 4.0(4) on Windows Server 2003, the user receives this error message when attempting to access the systems integration web page in System Administrator:

Microsoft VBScript run-time error '800a0046'.  
Permission denied: 'CreateObject'
/Web/SA/BodyAsp/IntegAnalogBody.asp, line 33

Resolution

Windows 2000 Server has role-based security disabled by default. Windows Server 2003 has role-based security enabled by default.

To resolve this issue, perform this workaround:

1. In Windows, select Administrative Tools > Component Services.
2. In the Component Services console, expand Component Services > Computers > My Computer.
3. Right click on Cisco Unity and select Properties.
4. Under Authorization, go to the Security tab and uncheck Enforce access checks for this application.
