IPCC Express rejects calls with the No idle channels are available from the groups error message

Core Issue

These error messages are displayed in the Multimedia Interactive Voice Response (MIVR) logs:

  • 59009: Jun 22 11:49:56.656 BST %MIVR-SS_TEL-5-CTIPG_ROUTE_EVENT:CTI Port Group    route event: Route Session=(P1-crs-jtapi) GCID=(2,114118)->INVALID/RA: 3698
  • Route Address=3698
  • Failure reason=Terminate Route Session
  • Exception=com.cisco.channel.MissingChannelException:    No idle channels are available from the groups

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform these steps:

  1. Go to the Customer Response Solutions (CRS) appadmin page. From the top menu, choose Subsystems > Cisco Media > Cisco Media Group.
  2. Increase the maximum number of channels.
