How does it work?

The "+" Dialing feature is normally use after having the E164 (Globalization) configuration applied to your incoming calls on Call Manager. When E164 is applied now you can go a look at the Directory on your phone and you will be able to see the numbers showing up the full E164 format as the following +1 212 509 5252.

Important

Same way as when configure Globalization and Localization we need to apply this configuration for the 3 type of calls we have. Local(Subscribe), National and International.

Scenarios:

- We have an IP-Phone with DN=5353 with External Phone Number Mask as (212 509 5353).

Phone is going to call from Directory:
Local=  +1212 509 5252 (Pattern \+1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx)
National= +1415 888 3232 (Pattern \+1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx)
International= +1011 506 2575 9898 (Pattern \+.!)

Configuration

Phone= 5353 (2125095353)
PT= Internal
CSS= Internal-PT|local-PT|International-PT

1- We need to configure a "Route-Pattern" that the phone can access via "CSS" and "PT" to be able to match the called number.

The Route Pattern will look as the following (For Local and LD calls)

The Route Pattern will look as the following (For International)

Note= The Route list will be the same as it should contain the Route Group where the Destination (Gateway) should be included.

2-  Now is time to configure the "Called Party Xformation Patterns" that we will use to match the outgoing calls.

2.1- Three Partitions (Local,National,International)
2.2- Three Called Party Xformation Patterns (Local,Nationa,International)
2.3- One Calling Search Space (This one is going to be apply on the Destination End-point (Gateway) under outbound calls)

Xformation Patterns on Call Manager

Call Routing > Transformations>Transformation Pattern>Called Party Transformation Pattern.

"Local" Called Party Xformation Pattern

"Long Distance" Called Party Xformation Pattern

"International" Called Party Xformation Pattern

3- Now we should just go to the "Calling Search Space: created on step 2 and include the 3 Partitions for each Xformation Pattern created.

4- Apply the "Calling Search Space" to the Gateway where the calls are going to send to the PSTN. (Save>Apply Config>Reset)

Results

Local
Calling=2125095353
Called= 5095252

Long Distance
Calling=2125095353
Called=14158883232

International
Calling=2125095353
Called=01150625759898
