This document explains about TelePresence (VCS) and the support of SHA-2 algorithm.
VCS certificate creation can now generate a CSR with a SHA-2 signature algorithm as requested in CSCuo6774; is supported from X8.5.1.
How to create and apply certificates in VCS is described in the following documents.
Cisco VCS Certificate Creation and Use Deployment Guide X8.5.1
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/X8-5/Cisco-VCS-Certificate-Creation-and-Use-Deployment-Guide-X8-5-1.pdf
It is possible to apply a certificate, created externally using the SHA-2 algorithm, to a VCS version earlier than X8.5.1.
This is stated in the Certificate Creation and Use Deployment Guide X8.2, see “Note” on page5.
