The device configuration page in the Cisco CallManager Administration fails intermittently with the Failed to create object. Check to make sure the Database Layer objects are installed and that users have permission to access the components. error message

Core Issue

The above error message is observed after installing MS security patch MS03-010 on the server.

Resolution

A workaround for this problem is to refresh the browser.

A fix is made available in Operating System Upgrade Service Release 2000-2-4sr4 (win-OS-Upgrade-K9.2000-2-4sr4.exe).

As indicated in Cisco    IP Telephony Operating System, SQL Server, Security Updates, you can no longer    download the upgrade. It has been replaced with win-OS-Upgrade-K9.2000-2-5.exe,  win-OS-Upgrade-K9.2000-2-5sr1.exe.
