Core Issue

Auto-answer is a feature that is programmed on the template. When the auto-answer button is activated, the speaker phone goes off-hook automatically when an incoming call is received.

Resolution

The auto-answer feature is not currently supported on a shared line configuration.

For more information, refer to the Directory Numbers section of Cisco IP Phones.
