The user receives a "Page cannot be displayed" error message when the user selects the MeetingPlace tab in Outlook XP

Core Issue

The MeetingPlace tab is available in Outlook. However, when you click on it, the error message is received.

 

These are other characteristics of this problem:

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the MeetingPlace Outlook client form does not resolve the problem. The "When posting to this folder, use MeetingPlace Conferencing" option is selected.
  • When the user goes to Tools > Options in Outlook, the MeetingPlace tab is not listed in the options.
  • In the registry, MakeDefaultForm is set to 1.
  • When the user goes to Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > Add-In Manager, Meeting Place Output is installed, and the box is checked.

Resolution

To resolve this issue and provide access to the MeetingPlace Outlook form, perform these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and select Help > About Microsoft Outlook > Disabled Items.
  2. If MPOLxxx.dll is disabled, click Enable.
  3. Close and reopen Outlook.
