Core Issue

In Cisco CallManager 3.3.2, even after removing the devices that are associated with the Music on Hold (MoH)  server, when an attempt to remove the MoH server is made, the following error message is received:

The server cannot be deleted. The following apps are using it - Cisco TCD and Audio Txlr

Resolution

Apart from disassociating the devices that are registered to it, references to the MoH server must be removed from the services listed in the error message.

To delete an MoH server from a system, all references to that server must first be removed. This includes:

  • References to the MoH server in media resource groups.
  • Registered devices that have been associated to the MoH server.
  • References to the MoH server from other services.

Therefore, ensure that all of the following have occurred:
  • Remove references to the MoH server from all media resource groups.
  • Reset all devices that were associated with the MoH server at the device, device pool, and default Media Resource Group List (MRGL) levels.
  • In the Service Parameter configuration menu, select the MoH translator service and remove the reference to the MoH server. Repeat this for the Telephony Call Dispatcher (TCD) service.
