When the customer rebooted the Cisco Unity server integrated with Lotus Domino, voicemail messages are not delivered to the Domino mailstore.
User receives this Event Viewer Application Log message in the Cisco Unity server: Attempts to delivery UMR messages have failed due to Unity configuration or connectivity issues with the partner mail server.
The \Commserver\UnityMTA folder on the Cisco Unity server had undelivered voicemail messages and the subscribers are unable to access their voicemail box.
To resolve this issue, modify and correct the Cisco Unity server's Notes client settings. These settings reference the Lotus Domino partner server.
Ensure there is IP connectivity from the Cisco Unity server to the Lotus Domino partner server by pinging both by their IP address. Also, ensure there is IP connectivity from the Cisco Unity server to the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).
On the Cisco Unity server, perform these steps:
Log in to the Cisco Unity server as the Unityinstall user account.
Start the Lotus Notes Client application.
Select Start Menu > Programs > Lotus Applications > Notes.
When the Notes client is started, select File > Preferences and select the Servers tab.
Verify that the name of the partner Lotus Domino server is correct.
Locate \Program Files\Lotus\Notes\notes.ini and make a backup copy of the file.
Open a Notepad and open the file \Program Files\Lotus\Notes\notes.ini. This file is located in Mailserver=.
Verify and correct the name of the partner Domino server.
Save the notes.ini file.
Stop and restart Cisco Unity.
Verify that the \Commserver\UnityMTA folder is cleared.
