What are the disaster recovery steps to rebuild Data Gateway (DGW)?

Core Issue

These steps are helpful at the time of hardware failure or another natural disaster.

Resolution

To rebuild the DGW, perform these steps:

1. Restore the hardware.
   
   
2. Modify the /etc/system parameters.
   
   
3. Create users and groups.
   
   
4. Create directories and permissions.
   
   
5. Either untar the java software backup, or copy the software from the buddy Data Gateway (DGW).
   
   
6. Verify the Local Configuration settings in appropriate configuration files.
   
   
7. Install TimesTen.
   
   
8. Install Foundation Classes-Operation Administration Management (FC-OAM).
   
   
9. Install TimesTen Data Access Server (TTDAS) or TimesTen Monitor (TTMON).
   
   
10. Untar Sonic.
    
    
11. Bulkload TTDAS.
    
    
12. Copy startup files.
    
    
13. Install Oracle.
