With Cisco CallManager 4.x, a The Open Procedure for service "DHCPServer" in DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\perfctrs.dll" failed. error message appears intermittently in the application event log

Core Issue

Cisco CallManager 4.x servers receive the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server error message even though the DHCP server service is disabled on the servers, as shown:

The above is a known issue in Microsoft Windows .

Resolution

To resolve this issue, refer to How To Fully Uninstall a Performance Monitor Extension.

Note: Make a backup of the registry before modifying it. Re-boot the Cisco CallManager server after modifying the registry for the change to take effect.
