To help get feedback, it would be good if the system would alert the original posted after X number of days if they found some of the responses helpful and/or if they found the correct solution to their issue.
This would help in those cases were people post in the community, the community offers feedback, and the correct and/or helpful feedback may be given, but the original poster doesn't give feedback on what was provided to them.

I totally agree with @bill.king1 , but we don't want to pester the poster, nor let them leave unacknowledged answers hanging.

I'm wondering if this may be an opportunity to put some useful AI to work by having the AI process analyse

  1. The question, and if the question is not clear offer some alternate wordings to the poster
  2. The responses, and if it can identify a correct response, pass it on to a SME (Subject Matter Expert) with the authority to mark the answer correct.

These are very important points, assuming the rest of the world works like me, in that when I research a problem, and the search engine suggests a post from community.cisco.com, (where someone else has asked the same/similar question), if the question is not marked as Answered, then I move on.

Similarly, if I get an email from a board I'm subscribed to with a question, and that question was actually posted as a comment to a question that is already marked as answered, I ignore it (although I might actually respond telling the poster to post a new question first)
