I also posted this Cisco ideas forum, but though someone may see it here too that can do something about it:

Does anyone know who is maintaining this site http://sbkb.cisco.com ?  It appears to be up to date and has hundreds of well written and useful articles related to Cisco SMB gear.  Unfortunately, it does not rank well in search engines, does not allow direct article linking and does not appear to be connected with supportforums.cisco.com.  It seems like two groups at Cisco really should talk and combine these two efforts.

I recommend that Cisco will consider such advice as "advice of the day". The current Cisco looks like not-so-well coordinated group of independent departments ...

Hi Brandon,

We (Small Business Support Community) is managing that site.  It is part of our "Guide Me" tool that is within our small business area of supportforums.cisco.com.  We do allow direct linking and these documents are now being accessed by search engines.

What do you need help with?

I was just curious and wanted to offer some helpful criticism.  It seems to me when searching for Cisco issues via Google  supportforums.cisco.com will rank high, but rarely if ever do I see sbkb.cisco.com results.  There is good info there, but it feels detached from support forums. It is not possible to comment on the articles there and you say they can be linked to, but I don't see how because any article you go to the URL remains the same.

It would be nice if that information was moved to the regular support forum area and could be edited and commented on by the community.

Don't forget the https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/community/ - another platform for sharing the information, asking questions and getting the answers.

Oops I forgot to mention that to link to that URL you have to use is: http://sbkb.cisco.com/CiscoSB/Loginr.aspx?login=1&pid=2&app=search&vw=1&articleid=2919 (Just change the last digits to match the document number that you need).  I agree with all your ideas.  We are working on a way to make the content more collaborative and more integrated into the supportforums.
