RSS Feeds Stopped Working

Hi Amy and all,

Over the last weekend, I believe, the RSS feeds on CSC stopped working. Clicking on any RSS feed link causes the browser to be redirected back to the main CSC page. More technically, the webserver is returning a 302 Moved Temporarily response:

peterp@bach:~$ openssl s_client -connect supportforums.cisco.com:443

Yes, I noticed it to

Waiting for Cisco to solve it

All,

Recently we have been experiencing a very large number of RSS requests on our site which has made availability of it intermittent.  We are monitoring the situation but may need to disable it until we can get a better handle around the situation.  Site stability continues to be our top priority although we do intend to address this issue soon.

Thank you.

Feed were working for me until earlier this week. They've now completely stopped. Any idea when they might come back? (If at all!)

Hi Gordon, Peter, and All,

Yes, we do plan to fix the RSS feed issue but it likely will not happen until later this month as we have our resources held up with addressing the site stability issues. It's turned off temporarily due to it consuming a lot of resources on the CSC.  I'll get back with you as soon as I have more concrete date.

Thank you.

All,

We are planning to resolve this issue in our upcoming release scheduled on June 25 ,2015.

Thanks again for your patience.

All,

The CSC June release which includes a fix for this issue has been adjusted to June 30, 2015 to allow more time to test and validate some issues reported during testing.

Thank you.

The RSS feed feature is now working on production.

But you've changed all the URLs!!

e.g. The IP Telephony URL used to be:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/feeds/discussions/5961

But it's now:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/feeds/5961/discussions

Hello Gordon,

Yes, thanks for confirming that with us.  We are having development address this and we will bring back the RSS feed urls back to the original format next week.

Thanks,

Amy Chang

Gordon,

The RSS URL scheme has been restored as of 4:30PM PST.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
