Anyway... here's my tip....

I used to have to reload a router/switch (IOS) when making changes and screw something ;-p

when wanting to go back to the ''working config'' if I haven't saved the mess I did... just reload the router.

Obvioulsy this causes service interruption for the minute or two (or ten minutes!) that the device will come back up...

So I recently learned the command:

configure replace nvram:startup-config force

And done!

Everything back to the saved config without rebooting or service interrupt :-)

Hope it helps someone out there who did not know this as me...
