Hello, Netpros.
I need to find a way to query or alert for mastership status or change of that status. I can of course check for this manually by going to the web page and checking who is master and who is slave, but I need to be able to do this programatically.
I didn't see any alerts I could configure in RTMT. I haven't been able to find anything in the CLI. And I'm not finding anything in the MIBs which would point to this. Is there something I'm missing in one of these areas?
I have a customer running heavy-duty custom reports against the secondary server, which in normal operation is ok, but when the secondary server is running as master, this is dropping the server to its knees and creating a mastership fight which temporarily drops the call center.

I didn't go digging for alerts to double check your work, so I'll offer this alternate solution which you may or may not have been aware existed for UCCX 8.
HTTP GET on this URL (note, no trailing slash or it fails):
http:///uccx/isDBMaster
Returns this XML:

Did you add your source ip address to the list of approved requestors?
This REST API can be requested only from those wallboard servers, which are
configured through Tools > Real Time Snapshot Config web page from the
Unified CCX Administration menu bar. See the following sub-sections for
detailed information on different scenarios.

Anthony,
Thank you for the response; however, I get a 404 when I try that. I've verified no trailing slash (and tried w/ a trailing slash) and tried both http/https w/ the same result. Any other ideas? I am running version 8.0.2.11003-10.

That did it. Thanks, Anthony!

Very nice tip Anthony. I wish more UCCX status was available via SNMP. The serviceability guide makes reference to SNMP not being fully implemented.
I would have liked if I could monitor various system status parameters through a MIB (like Engine INSERVICE/Partial Service/OOS/etc).
But for now this XML get will have to do.
