CAD Log In Failed - Error: Log in attempt failed because agent extension has been shared.

Our client is getting this error, "Log in attempt failed because agent extension has been shared" when logging in at their CAD. Although the extensions are not configured as shared lines in CME. UCCX version used is 8.5.1.11004-25. We have restarted the UCCX service and other related services. We also deleted and recreated both dn's and ephones.

Does someone know what needs to be done to fix this? Thanks!

Shiela,

What is the exact OS version you are using there to login into Cisco Agent Desktop. Also what happens if you try to change the extension from what it is right now to something that had never been used earlier

If it agent is able to work with a different extension that means the issue is with these extensions only. If that is the case, please do the below then with problematic DNs and ephones first and add them back again:

no ephone-dn  <label>

no ephone <label>

After adding the phones back, also do below under the ephone followed by reset of phones

no create cnf

create cnf-files

reset

Regards

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

Thank you for your response.

I already did all those that you suggested. But it still didn't work. There are only two user affected on this issue.

With regards to the OS version, I will have to get back with our client to verify that.

Thanks!
