CAD login and extension mobility.

Hi,

We have lots of UCCX applications and all our user accounts are imported from active directory (firstname.lastname), and we use extension mobility to log into the phones.

We have one group of 10 staff and 3/4 workstations, which they move round and swap positions during the day. They are getting fed up of having to log in and out of the phones and CAD, every time they move desks (they do slightly different jobs at the different desks).

Our security team prefer to have one single directory for authentication, regular password changes, and not to use generic accounts.

The only workarounds I can think of break the above rules.

Is there any way of speeding up CAD logins, without creating new shorter named accounts, or generic accounts and not having static passwords?

Thanks

Below is a supported scenario and basis on this, you can configure 3/4 phones with different IPCC extensions basis on the number of workstations you have. This way Agent 1, 2 and 3 can login to workstation 1 during different shifts of the day without the need of logging out and then logging back in. Similarly Agent 4, 5 and 6 can login to workstation 2 during different shifts of the day and so on.

Multiple agents sharing the same Unified CCX extension, which you can set up as follows:
• Configure the Unified CCX extension to a single phone (not in a device profile).
• Associate the phone with all the agents who will use this extension.
• Select the appropriate directory number (DN) as the Unified CCX extension for each agent.
In this configuration, only one agent at a time can be logged in.
All agents who currently have the Unified CCX extension to be shared must log out before you configure additional agents to share that extension.
