I have a Windows 7 computer.
It's on a domain. I've move it to an OU that doesn't apply any rules
I've disabled Anti Virus
I've tried all sorts of combinations properties from the compatibility tab (right click on file, choose properties, compatibility tab)
The file size is 97.2 MB
It runs to 100% and then disappears\closes.
I've ran it in Windows 7, XP sp3, and Win98 (for grins) compatibility modes.
I've tried various combinations of setting too
No luck

Hi, basic question but did you try and run the installer with Run as Administrator?
11-22-2017 10:46 PM
Can you please confirm what filepath the editor has been installed to?
For x64 bit systems this should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\wfavvid...".

Hi Jonathan,
wfavvid isn't in either of the program files directories.
Neither of these files exist either and there are no other files in either of the folders below.
C:\Users\beatok\AppData\Local\Temp\{0f1e1487-0fa3-425e-909a-a22d2e8ec0ef}\appcompat.txt
C:\Users\beatok\AppData\Local\Temp\TabD450.tmp
My suspicion is it's not getting to the point of writing files to the temp folders, nor getting to the point of actually installing the application...

Hi Bill, I did.
What finally worked was logged in as the local administrator.
Guess that I should have tried that earlier in the process, but I "assumed" my domain admin account was a member of the local admin account.... that's what I get for assuming ;-)
Thanks
