Greetings,
A customer call center is NOT using the agent desktop. Is it possible to change the login parameter to numeric only, as with Extension Mobilty. They have a CCMBE with CCX Enhanced 7.0.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The username is based off the end user account in UCM. If you want to create a numeric-only user ID in UCM you can do this; however, the IPPA login will still be alpha-numeric entry.

Thank you for your reply. The User ID's are numeric. I was trying to avoid agents having to to hit the 2 key 4 times to enter a 2. Maybe next release. Thanks again.

Hi George
Do you really require your agents to login to the service each time? You can set up the service to take the userID, password and extension as parameters and then save these into the service definition. This means the agent doesn't have to login, just press the Services key and select the IPCC service. The stored parameters will be automatically supplied.
To do this, just copy and modify the service definition (in call manager) to have 3 parameters: Ext, ID and Pwd
When you subscribe to the service on the phone, you can supply these parameters.
Hope this is useful

Thank You for the tip. Will give it a shot. Happy Thanksgiving.

Additionally if you are gutsy and know your way around the IP Phone Services XML, you can modify the IPPA script to take numerical login only, or develop your own that does this.

Thank You. Not that proficient, but know some who is!
Thanks again.
Happy Thanksgiving.
