Changing ip address on rogger private interface in icm 7.x

Dear,

I want to change the ip address of private interface card on my rogger server running on icm 7.2.5.

because that ip is in used some where else as well.

but as per my understanding private interface is used for communication only in between rogger side A & Side B.

Just need to clarify what will be the impact at application level or by chaning the private lan ip address on both sides do i need to change any where else other then lan setting.

You won't have any problems, either do it through the registry or re-run stup.  If you're not too familiar with the ICM registry re-run setup to avoid any confusion.

AOA,

          If using name base resolution, then change in DNS forward and reverse zones for both servers and restart ICM servics on both machines.

Thanks for the reply because i just want to confirm the impact at application level other then it is fine.

Secondly, i don't think so there is any need to rerun the setup as we are using DNS for name resolution & change in DNS is for sure.

As per my understanding without any downtime it should be done.

Action:

Stop Side A Processes.

Side A Private NIC IP Changed.

Change records in both DNS Zones.

Start side A.

Stop side B.

Side B Private NIC IP Changed.

Start Side B.

Sync started.

No issue at all right?
