Cisco Agent Desktop - Can it use my 7900 series phone?

Looking to get rid of IP Communicator and strictly use 7900 series phones in conjunction with Agent Desktop. I can share the line easy enough but Agent Desktop doesn't start without the ip communicator running. I would prefer not to have it running anyway. I need to be able to control the desk phone from agent and vice versa.

I want to be able to get rid of the computer headsets and go strictly wired headsets to the deskphones. Someone please tell me this is possible and I am just stupid. thanks.

Hi

Try re-associating the 7942 phones MAC address with the RMCM user in CUCM and see if you are able to login.

Thanks

Hi,

Which version of Contact Center product you have?

yes, it is possible and even preferable to have separate phones, if i remember correctly it was 7940 an higher.

I keep getting the error in CAD that the "Resource's Device is Off."

I can share the line easy enough but Agent Desktop doesn't start without the ip communicator running.

Also, you cannot have a shared line appearence for the ACD line; it has to be present on only a single device.

Thanks guys, I removed the shared line and also added the phone to controlled devices for the rmcm user account.

5 stars to you both, thanks.
