Hi all, can anyone share the purpose of Dynamic Configuration in the voice elements. What is the difference by using a java class in this as compared to the one we use in action element?

Dynamic Configuration lets you use Java Code to configure an element's
Settings and Audio at runtime, rather than configuring it in the GUI.
That's its whole purpose, just to configure the element its being used
within.

Whereas an Action Element actually 'does' something.

Dynamic Config is often used with Voice elements (Audio element, Form
element) to create prompting and/or dynamic menus that are configured
based on runtime info - such as a caller's account number, or selected
language. It has access to getting/setting element and session data, etc.

You might find this old Cisco Live CVP content of use in explaining it and showing you how to do it using XML and Java approaches.
