Cisco UCCE ROGGER & AWHDS sa password

Hi,

I just wanted to check if resetting the sa password on the production UCCE Rogger and awhds will have any impact ??

I don't think any direct impact is there on connectivity from logger/AW to sql, since it uses windows authentication. But in case if you have any other/third party applications (e.g. CUIC..) connected to system using sa account then you need to change there as well.

But just to avoid any unknown issues. Try resetting in lab, if you have one.

Hi,

For CUIC in UCCE generally we create a new user in SQL to sycn with AW for real time and HDS for historical so I guess sa account is not used for CUIC.

Hi,

The sa password is not used by UCCE directly. So you can change any time using MS management studio.
