Hello,

We have to move CCX server cluster  to different network, and integrate to a different Call Manager Cluster.

CCX Version is 8.0 and new CM Cluster is 8.5, does any one had done this previously. All agents will be moved to the new network.

First of all need to change IP for the CCX servers, and then integrate to the new CM, does any one had done this kind of task before?

tnx

Bobby

I have not changed an IP address since CCX was on windows.

The big problem will be moving to a new UCM cluster. You will need to go through the fresh install process. In the windows days you could just run the cet.bat tool, set a fresh install and then login to appadmin and go through the inital setup again.

Now we no longer have acess to the cet.bat tool you will have to open a case with Cisco TAC and get them to set a fresh install.

You can't just change the IP address of the axl provider to your new UCM publisher as you won't be able to login to appadmin.

Since UCCX is moved to Linux version you will not be able to use cet.bat tool and you can't even edit the IP address from weblogin page. You have to change the IP address from CLI option. Login to Putty and change the IP address of New CUCM Publisher as mentioned below,

set uccx provider ip axl

In the same way change the ip address for CTI and rmcm provider as well.

Note: Ensure you are not moving to a new CUCM cluster altogether whereas you are just chaning the IP address as part of CUCM Upgrade.

One more important information is that, AXL User should be there in CUCM hence you can login to your UCCX after changing the IP Address and restarting the system. If not then you will not be able to login.

Thanks,

Gana

Hi Ganapathy,

The CCX will be permanently moving to a new CCM Cluster, as per my understanding we need to change the IP Adds for UCCX provider,CTI server, rmcm provider from ccx CLI.

There are after in CCM create the CTI Ports, CTI route point, AXL user and rmcm users.

Does anything else required?

tnx

Bobby

Not sure if this works for a different CUCM cluster. And not understanding the reason for changing the cluster. Anyway try the below steps,

1) Change the AXL username password of uccx provider, cti server and rmcm provider which you are going to use in new cucm cluster

2) Change the IP addresses from CLI(putty)

3) Restart the UCCX server and see if you are able to login.

4) Now do a JTAPI resync

Ensure your new cucm cluster is up and running before making the new changes

Regards,

Gana

Personally, I would just backup all your configuration and then do a clean install on the new cluster/network.  Just seems like there might be too many unknowns you've going to have to deal with.
