Hi,
We got a customer with an Cisco UCCX 12.0
When their customers dial in, they are prompted to input their ID number.
This ID number should then be copied to Windows clipboard.
How can we achieve this?

Well, you can always use call variable to keep this data. Then possibly to use/create browser plugin to autocopy it. Which browser does your customer use?
What exactly they gonna do with this text?

The customer unfortunately use Chrome, Edge and IE..
They need to copy it into different software programs.
They have an Avaya today and they are used to do it this way

Ok. I see only one possibility: 3rd party gadget for Finesse for this operation.
