Dear Networkers,
I have installed 3 CVP servers (1 OAMP + 2 CVP CALL/VXML Servers) 8.0 installed succesfully.
I have upgraded those CVP servers to V 8.5. Once i have done this, i was not able to open OAMP Web page : "the page cannot be displayed".
No errors were shown after the upgrade !
I am using IE 6.0 SP2 which is conform with the CVP 8.5 BoM.
Can you please advise ?
thanks in advance.

Well, is the OAMP service running ?
Have you had a look through the OAMP logs in C;\Cisco\CVP ?
Cheers,
Kris

Hi Kris,
Thank you for your response and suggestion.
Yes indeed ! i was looking in the c:\cisco\cvp\ but couldn't find any CVP OAMP errors.
But i found that i am hitting the bug with the ID CSCtu02611
CVP: OAMP fails after upgrade from 4.0 --> 8.0.1 --> 8.5. | |
Symptom:After CVP upgrade from 4.x --> 8.0 --> 8.5 OAMP fails with 'Page cannot be displayed' error.Conditions:Tomcat is not able to locate the keystore file. Workaround: Upgrade from 4.x to 8.0, export config from OAMP, reinstall OAMP 8.0, import config into OAMP 8.0 and then upgrade to 8.5. |
After appying the workaround, i was able to login to the OAMP.
For someone to know if he's hitting this bug, he should see an error in the Tomcat server log ( c:\Cisco\CVP\OPSConsoleServer\Tomcat\Logs\stdout_XXXXX.log ) with "java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\.keystore".

Hi Mohamed,
I just upgraded the OAMP into 4.0.2 -8.0.1-8.5.1. I cannot able to view the oamp admin page.
I am also having the same error..
SEVERE: Error initializing endpoint
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\.keystore (The system cannot find the file specified)
Is the workaround working fine.? Is there any other workarounds??
Thanks in advance

Hi Karthik,
Yes i confitm that the workaround works fine ! I had to open a case and confirm this. It seems that this is a known bug when upgrading from cvp 4 --> cvp 8 -- > cvp 8.5
I hope that u have the oamp export file !
u have to
1- reinstall the oamp 4.0 import the oamp exported file
2- upgrade to cvp oamp 8.0
3- export the config
4- uninstall cvp oamp 8.0
5- install cvp oamp 8.0
6- import config oamp 8.0
7- upgrade to cvp oamp 8.5
i hope this helps.
Best Regards.

Hello,
Is there any chance to use the Console backup from OAMP 7.X?
My upgrade path was 4.X-----> 7.X----->8.0------8.5
Best regards,
Troy

Has anyone rebuilt ther Operations Console during business hours? I need to rebuild mine but an not certain if it will disrupt the call servers.

I hope you have a device map backup/export?
If you do, then it can be done. But if you don't, then I would wait for a maintenance window.

Geoff

Hi,
There is no impact on the CALL or VXML servers when upgrading the OAMP server. You can go, and do it without a maintenance window, but before that, you should proceed with a configuration backup (export).
