CVP & External Music Source

We are looking for implementing external hold music along with CVP.

What are the capabilites & limitaitons of CVP as related to this.

IUnderstdn CVP uses the media server. Will this be only option or we can have some other hold music source when the caller goes in to the queue

yes you can use gateway for MOH, but not recommended for heavy load. or you can use same CVP as media server.

If you are looking for an external Third part MOH server you could use a product called the instreamer by a company called Barix.

I asked them if supported RTP and they said they recently added the functionality to multicast audio into an RTP stream and the code hasn't been release into production yet. If it is something that you would consider I can get the new firmware. The unit is about $400 USD.
