Hello Experts

How to enter /input  Alphanumeric as DTMF in IVR; does CVP/Call studio has any mechanism /inbuilt  element or logic to recognize Alphabets?

We got a new requirement that loan number will have first character as alphabets;

for A123456;B123456 etc. First character can be A-Z; this is dtmf application only;

UCCE12.5; CVP/callstudio 12.5

How are you going to have the caller let you know the difference between A123456 and B123456?

If you only had one letter per keypad entry on the phone, that would be one thing (i.e. you only had A, D, G, etc. as potential letters). If however, you can have any letter at the start (more of a business question), then caller entry 1123456 could be A123456 or B123456 or C123456.

Is your plan to play back the entry to the caller to let them confirm it? In other words, they enter 1123456, and then you have a 3 option menu to have them choose between A123456, B123456, or C123456?

we are Planning to announcement through static audio , If your number start with A , please enter digits  the start with one if customer entered the digits like 1 we can assume that A right ?

It all depends on what you play to the caller. You could let them enter in 1123456 for instance and then have a second prompt off of a decision node that looks at the first digit and asks them if they mean A123456 vs. B123456 vs. C123456.
