Does SocialMiner still use IMAP for O365?

We recently installed SocialMiner 12.0 for our UCCX 12.0 deployment.

We're about to configure it now, to interconnect it with email.

My question is:

We've enabled Modern Authentication on Office 365, so does SocialMiner still use IMAP for Email Queues in Social Miner?

And would port 993 be opened to UCCX or to SocialMiner?

I don't see port 993 anywhere in the Port Utilization tables.

My email team says IMAP doesn't work anymore with O365, and firewall team doesn't want to open ports they don't need to.

Any documentation I have seen is from 2017, such as:

UCCX Integration with Office 365 for Agent Email

I DID find it! Hurray!

So 993 is OUTBOUND only! No need to worry there.

So the question remains on how Social Miner will now handle IMAP for O365.

A little background for posterity's sake.

Microsoft announced an end to basic authentication for POP3 and IMAP. They now use 'Modern Authentication', which is based on OAuth2.0.

There are a couple defects like this one that mention SocialMiner and O365, not sure if you'd had to contact TAC to get the additional detail?

https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvo67898

Hope this helps.

So, did you ever get this running?

UCCX/CCP still do not support OAuth for O365, so we're still stuck with Basic Auth... having troubles with this and hardly any documentation to find on how to deploy O365 Account or where to start troubleshooting
