ECE 12.0

Hi,

We are using ECE 12.0 and getting below error in FireFox .

Cookie “egain-last-request-id” will be soon rejected because it has the “SameSite” attribute set to “None” or an invalid value, without the “secure” attribute. To know more about the “SameSite“ attribute, read https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie/SameSite jsbundle.12.0.1-5-156627.js:2584:261880

We believe this is causing interruption in customer Side chat.

How to overcome this.

I know you mentioned ECE, but it sounds like your description is very similar to this defect, perhaps try the workaround listed?

Yes, we have a custom chat template in ECE 12.0 version. I have found similar bug in ECE also CSCvs83450  and installed the mentioned ES but we are experiencing the same issue .

We have a load balancer for webserver, is there anything to do with that.

Thanks.

Did you try and do the workaround that was listed in the first bug, did that make any difference (at least as a test)?

Up on searching, I found that Chrome flag for SameSite has been removed from the Chrome Flag.

"SameSite by default cookie flag may be disabled on customer side under chrome://flags/#same-site-by-default-cookies"

Hey can you try this

With Chrome 90 you have to set "Temporarily unexpire M89 flags" to "Enabled" first, relaunch Chrome, then you'll be able to find the throttle flag.

Hope this Helps

Cheers
Rath!
